Meet Lisa
Lisa is a Seattle native who spent 22 years living in Los Angeles and building a career in the healthcare and biotech industries; she has always had a professional and personal passion for health and wellness. During her time in Los Angeles, Lisa practiced nearly every fitness and movement method LA had to offer -- Pilates, yoga, aerial yoga, barre, sculpt, pole fitness, kickboxing, weightlifting, CrossFit, Barry's Bootcamp, and on.
Early in her professional career, Lisa discovered yoga and it immediately became a passion and regular practice to counterbalance long business hours and frequent travel -- and after many years of practice, Lisa studied and earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification from YogaWorks LA on Larchmont in 2005 -- and she started teaching yoga in her spare time.
While building a strong yoga practice, Lisa took a classical mat Pilates class offered at her university, and was drawn to its focus, control, and precision. She soon began practicing Pilates throughout Los Angeles, both at classical and contemporary studios, but primarily practiced contemporary Pilates. Over the years, Pilates has remained a familiar presence in her life.
In 2010, Lisa trained and competed in the NPC Natural Bikini competition in Hollywood while working full-time. Stepping onstage for the 1st time in a competition was a totally new and empowering experience outside of her comfort zone that revealed the incredible benefits of strength training, along with discipline and consistency.
Just ahead of the pandemic, Lisa returned to Seattle with her family and couldn't find a Pilates studio that matched what she'd grown used to in LA. After practicing at a few studios across Seattle, she decided to enroll in a Pilates Teacher Training program. Lisa completed the BASI Pilates Comprehensive 500-hour program in 2025 -- rooted in contemporary Pilates -- not to chase a trend, but because she'd lived and learned the difference that the Pilates method made in her body. She began teaching Pilates soon after and has been teaching ever since.
Her Philosophy
Lisa believes Pilates is for everybody. She maintains her own personal Pilates practice and has experienced injuries, recovered from surgeries, and learned to adapt to her body’s changing needs. Her formal Pilates training pushed her practice beyond general fitness to functional movement: to rebuild strength safely, restore mobility, and learn to move well.
Working with Lisa feels like training with someone who has mindfully used Pilates to get stronger, evolve, and keep moving the body. Lisa believes that real results take commitment and consistency, and is there to guide others on their way.
"At Vibe Pilates, I want you to feel strong and connected to your body. Blending Pilates, breath, and functional movement, every session is designed to leave you moving freely and feeling your best."

Outside the Studio
When she's not teaching, Lisa is working, raising her daughter, tackling home projects, blending her own herbal teas, and she loves to travel to beautiful nature destinations for wellness retreats or to visit friends in different cities.
